India entered Day 14 of the Asian Games 2026 with 76 medals, including 16 gold, 25 silver and 35 bronze. Several major medal events were scheduled in cricket, hockey, golf, archery and wrestling.
India vs Pakistan Cricket Final
The men’s cricket team faced Pakistan in the gold-medal match at 10 am. India reached the final after defeating Sri Lanka by 124 runs in the semifinal, while Pakistan advanced after beating Bangladesh in a rain-shortened semifinal.
Hockey Gold Medal Match
India’s men’s hockey team was scheduled to face Malaysia in the final at 3:30 pm. The match was another key opportunity for India to add a gold medal on the penultimate day of the Games.
Pranavi Urs in Golf Spotlight
Pranavi Urs, alongside Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar, competed in the women’s golf final round. Urs was among India’s key individual medal contenders on Day 14.
Archery and Wrestling
India also had medal hopes in individual archery, with Kumkum Mohod and Neeraj Chauhan among those in action. Wrestling featured several Indian contenders, including Antim Panghal and Aman Sehrawat.
Women’s Hockey Makes History
Earlier on Day 14, India’s women’s hockey team defeated China 1-0 in the final to win gold, ending a 44-year wait for the Asian Games women’s hockey title. Lalremsiami scored the decisive goal.
With cricket, men’s hockey and several individual events still in focus, India looked to add to its medal haul as the Aichi-Nagoya Games entered their final stages.
