Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has launched a new digital platform called ‘Satyagraha’, aimed at bringing information about protests and public movements from across India onto one platform. The website was launched on October 3, 2026.
Platform Invites Protest Stories
Through the platform, people can submit details about causes they are supporting or issues they are protesting against. According to Gandhi, submitted stories will be displayed on an interactive map, allowing users to identify similar movements in different parts of the country.
Focus on Grassroots Movements
Gandhi said the initiative is intended to bring together people involved in different struggles, including students, farmers, women, tribal communities and Dalits. He argued that individual movements can gain visibility by connecting with others facing similar concerns.
Gandhi’s Message on Collective Action
While announcing the platform, Gandhi referred to Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy of Satyagraha and stressed the importance of people standing together around issues they consider important.
Comes Amid Recent Protests
The launch comes as demonstrations have taken place in Delhi and Mumbai over issues surrounding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.
The new website therefore adds a digital element to the ongoing political mobilisation, giving citizens a platform to document and connect their protest-related experiences.
