Google Fitbit Air Arrives in India as a Screen-Free Fitness Tracker

Google has brought its Fitbit Air fitness tracker to India, introducing a screen-free alternative to conventional smartwatches. Priced at ₹13,999, the wearable will go on sale from October 2.

A Fitness Tracker Without a Screen

Unlike a smartwatch, Fitbit Air does not have a display or on-device notifications. Instead, it quietly collects fitness and health data while users check their information through the Google Health app on a smartphone.

The lightweight design is aimed at people who want health tracking without constant screen distractions.

What Does Fitbit Air Track?

The device supports activity and workout tracking along with sleep monitoring. Google also lists features including 24/7 heart-rate tracking, heart-rhythm monitoring with AFib alerts, blood oxygen monitoring and heart-rate variability measurements.

Up to Seven Days of Battery

Google says Fitbit Air can provide up to a week of battery life on a single charge. A five-minute fast charge can provide up to a day of use, making the tracker designed for continuous wear.

Google Health Coach Integration

One of the key features is its connection with the Google Health Coach. The system is designed to turn collected health and workout data into personalised insights and guidance through the Google Health ecosystem.

Price and Availability

Fitbit Air is priced at ₹13,999 in India and will be available through the Google Store and retail partners from October 2. It comes in four colour options and includes a three-month Google Health Premium trial.
