Hockey India has announced free entry for spectators at all matches of the men’s Hero Asian Champions Trophy Punjab 2026, giving hockey fans an opportunity to watch international action without paying for tickets.
The tournament will take place from October 27 to November 5, 2026, across Jalandhar and Mohali in Punjab. However, spectators must register online to obtain a free digital entry pass before visiting the stadium.
Two Stadiums to Host 20 Matches
The tournament will feature 20 matches across two venues: the Olympian Surjit Singh Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar and the Olympian Balbir Singh Senior International Hockey Stadium in Mohali.
Jalandhar will host all league-stage matches from October 27 to November 2. The semi-finals and medal matches will take place in Mohali on November 4 and 5.
The arrangement brings international hockey to Punjab, a state with a long-standing connection to the sport.
How to Get Free Entry Passes
Fans can obtain their free entry passes through Hockey India’s online ticketing partner, Ticketgenie.
To secure a pass, spectators need to register on the platform, select their preferred match and receive a digital pass containing a QR code. The code must be scanned at the stadium entrance.
Fans can register through the official Ticketgenie event page. Since entry requires a digital pass, spectators should complete registration before arriving at the venue.
India’s Match Schedule
India will begin its campaign against Bangladesh on October 27. The team will then face China on October 29, Japan on October 30, Malaysia on November 1 and South Korea on November 2.
The league-stage results will determine which teams advance to the semi-finals and medal matches.
Hockey India Aims to Bring Fans Closer to the Sport
Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey said the decision to offer free entry aims to attract more supporters and give them an opportunity to experience top-level international hockey.
The initiative is also intended to encourage families, young players and sports enthusiasts to attend matches in person.
With free entry passes available through online registration, the tournament offers fans across Punjab and neighbouring regions a chance to support their teams and experience the excitement of international hockey.
