Richa Chadha recently opened up about husband Ali Fazal’s approach to fatherhood, revealing that his close attention to their daughter Zuni’s daily routine can sometimes become “irritating” and “annoying.” The actor shared the details during a conversation with Movified.
Ali Fazal Keeps a Close Watch on Zuni
According to Richa, Ali is extremely particular about their daughter’s food and routine, even when he is away for work. She recalled him checking details such as whether Zuni’s lunch included pumpkin.
Richa said she sometimes asks him why he needs to “micromanage” everything when she, the nanny and others are already taking care of their daughter.
Richa Calls It a ‘Good Problem’
Despite finding his over-involvement frustrating at times, Richa said she does not see it negatively. She described it as a “good problem to have” and acknowledged that Ali’s attention comes from his deep concern for their daughter.
Ali had previously spoken about experiencing anxiety when away from his family after becoming a father, saying he wanted to spend more time with his daughter and Richa.
A New Phase of Parenthood
Richa and Ali welcomed their daughter Zuneyra Ida Fazal in July 2024. Since then, both actors have spoken about balancing their careers with parenting responsibilities. Richa has also discussed how motherhood changed her priorities and influenced her return to creative work.
