Abhishek Sharma’s Bat Helps Prince Shine

Prince scored 13 runs off just six deliveries, hitting three fours against West Indies pacer Shamar Joseph in the final over. His late contribution helped India add valuable runs after losing wickets in the closing stages.

Prince revealed that Abhishek had lent him the bat before his innings and jokingly warned him not to embarrass it. Prince said he was happy to contribute with both bat and ball.

Abhishek Praises Prince’s Batting Ability

Abhishek praised Prince’s power-hitting skills, explaining that the fast bowler had experience playing one on one cricket matches in Delhi, where players practise both batting and bowling.

He suggested that Prince’s ability to strike boundaries was not accidental and that fans could see more of his batting talent in the future.

A Bat With Previous Success

Prince also revealed that he had previously used Abhishek’s bat during India’s tour of Ireland, where he struck a six. He joked that he would borrow the bat again for future matches, and Abhishek agreed.

India Take Series Lead in Indore

Abhishek played a major role in India’s victory, scoring 69 runs off 30 balls. Ishan Kishan added 37 off 18 deliveries, giving India a strong start before the middle order lost momentum.
