Hyderabad is set to strengthen its position as a major global Artificial Intelligence hub with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) subsidiary HyperVault announcing plans to develop a large-scale AI data centre campus in the city.The project will have a capacity of up to 1 gigawatt (GW) and involves an investment of up to ₹70,000 crore from HyperVault and its partners. The company has secured 264 acres of land in Hyderabad for the project. The AI-focused campus will be designed to support frontier AI companies, hyperscalers and global enterprises. It will enable high-density GPU deployments for AI training, inference and advanced computing workloads.The facility is planned with liquid-cooled computing infrastructure, large power blocks and high-density GPU systems. The development will take place in phases based on customer demand and evolving technology requirements. The project is also expected to generate several thousand direct and indirect employment opportunities across technology, construction, engineering, networking, cooling and data-centre operations.
HyperVault said the campus will incorporate green energy and water-neutral design principles, adding another dimension to Hyderabad’s growing digital infrastructure ecosystem.Telangana Chief Minister A.
